First Due Basement Fire Deputy Chief Jonathan Riffe, February 20 Today at 1221 hours, Engine 5, Truck 5, Chief 5C, and Chief 5 were sent to 9900 Kirksville Ln. in Dunkirk for the odor of smoke. The Dunkirk Volunteers arrived to find smoke showing from the basement of a split level house. Engine 5 advanced an 1.5' into the basement to find a laundry room on fire while Truck 5 took care of throwing ladders, opening up for the wagon, and venting the house. Engine ..
